Hello! I noticed that quite a few people use protein shakes, particularly after working out. I was just wondering what the benefits are (besides the fact that your body should be getting protein after working out), if they are low cal, filling, etc.

I think they are filling and the kind I use has alot of vitamins/minerals. Plus after working out I dont feel like cooking so its perfect. I use ON Egg Protein Powder Vanilla Custard. Its my fav. I hate alot of the brands because some of them are "chalky" but this isnt.0

A bigger hit of protein than many after workout snacks - usually 15-25 g - depending on brand/type. I throw in lots of fruit with my powder - and ice then blend up - makes it yummy. I don't like the powder all by themselves. Muscle recover drinks post workout are great for you. If, however, you will be having a protein rich meal following working out - probably no need.0

Awesome! Do you know how many calories are in them generally?0
