I am gluten intolerant (recently discovered) and have to be pretty strict with keeping my diet "clean". Is anyone else gluten intolerant/celiac and trying to lose weight? I thought it would be easier to lose weight once I discovered what my health issue was, but it hasn't.

Meeeeeee! I don't have Celiac, but discovered that the migraines I had for YEARS were being caused by eating gluten. In the Bad Old Days, we didn't have very many choices, but WOW are we ever lucky now! You will find, though, that a lot of the GF foods can be kinda caloric - I was a bit shocked at how little quinoa I can eat & still stay within my calorie limits.

My boyfriend has Celiac Disease but I do most of the cooking. I'd love to trade recipes/tips!

Yep. I'm intolerant. What are you struggling with? Just knowing doesn't fix anything, you have to fully adapt. you have to find a grocery store that carries a good selection of gf foods and get ready to take your favorite recipes and adapt. Also, gf will take your general bloating down, but it won't change the calories you're fluxuating with.

I can't see your diary so I don't know what type of life style you're living.

I am, too! You can befriend me if you want. I know it's really hard to eat gluten free when you're the only one in your household eating that way. Don't worry, there are TONS of gluten-free foods out there. And a lot of major grocery brands have gluten-free products, too. :-) Hurray!
