    Congrat's on doing something

When you go for a walk, is a brisk walk or slow pace because you have the kids? That makes a dirfference

Your Stepper, does it have an option for resistance bands?
  • I know you may feel a little ridiculous doing it by your self but put on some music and dance !

Any extra movement will help although with a 2YO I dont know when you'd fit "Extra " movement into the day !

  • i mainly walk pritty fast. my step is just a basic step. dancing sounds good could even get my 2 year old involed.

Jog in place or around the house and if you have stairs in the house include them in as well. Just do it when the kids are taking a nap so they dont see mommy running around the house and say we can do it too!

You can buy resistance bands at Walmart, Target, Olympic Sports, etc and add them in. Make sure the tubbing is made of good material.

If you a stepper doesn't have a upper body attachment you can loop the resistance bands underneath that way you can work out your arms/chest/back and even abs.
  • You know what would be great? A yoga ball and work out dvd's they even have little balls that your young one could use...

I have a stepper and a treadmill, but theres nothing like DVR!!!

    Good luck in your search!!

www.gaiam.com usually has some great deals and awesome work out videos. So it would be quiet when your baby is sleeping!

I use cans of spaghetti sauce or something else that weighs 2 pounds, as I don't want to bulk up but want to look toned and they work fabulously!!!

That's EXACTLY what I do for exercise! I dance in my living room almost every day to a fast oldies CD that my husband made of all my favorite oldies. It's alot of fun, and I can watch tv too, so I never get bored. I walk too, but dancing burns more calories, and can be done in any weather conditions!

I rent DVDs from Net Flix...that way I can see if I am really going to like it

I am all for the dance. I wore my HRM the other day, started out on my walk, heard a good song and ended up dancing for 45 min. I burned 296 cals. I added aerobic type moves, squatting, lifing arms, moving in bicep curl motion.

I was sore the next day from having FUN!!

    Enjoy....glad your here!:flowerforyou:
