Well I haven't had French Fries in probably 6 months. I've made home made baked fries. Seems they are so much lower in calories.

I use to live off of fries, hamburgers, and Pizza for weeks at a time. It was just so easy. Hungry? Well burger biggie has it already made.

Things have changed. I seem to need my fruit and fresh vegetables every day or I just don't feel right. What made me think about this was tonight I made my first spinach salad. It was what the doctor ordered. I couldn't get enough of it. Nothing fancy mind you, just some stuff from the garden, eggs, and a little feta cheese.

Then I've been making a fruit salad this summer. Just awesome stuff there. Pick your favorite fruit. Add a mixture of Brown sugar, Orange Juice, and Lemon juice and your set. I also add a cup of plain fat free yogurt. I love my dairy products. Cool, smooth, and tasty. Still really low in calories.

These days I wonder how I functioned eating so poorly. I guess that's the thing. I am willing to bet I functioned at less than optimum. That would be mentally and physically.

I'll endulge sometimes. I'll steal a couple french fries from my boy when we're eating. But I'm with you. I just started this whole thing 2 months ago.

It was rough at first, but now I'm kind of in the swing of things. I still cheat...Pizza is my guilty pleasure, having a couple slices on Friday...but it's planned! It will make me make better choices throughout the rest of the day.

What you described in your food, sounds delicious!! Minus the spinach, I still can't eat spinach LOL.

    Keep up the great work!!

I've found ways to still have the things I enjoy but without breaking the calorie bank ...

I eat fries still - but they are sweet potato fries and I bake them vs frying them in oil.

I eat pizza still - but I make it at home (this way I KNOW what is going in it). I buy whole wheat crusts, whole tomatoes, seasoning, etc and we make our own. They are REALLY good and the calories don't kill you for the day.

It takes a little work, but I like that I've found ways to enjoy what I love and still keep the weight off. :)

(Sorry.. no on the spinach -- BLECH)

Every now and then I will stop and get 2 small hamburgers but no fries. I've had pizza once. Like you most everything fits into the plan. I've even eaten at buffets but that was after playing golf for 4 hours. No harm. Heck I even lost weight the next day. Even at the buffet I grab some fruit and veggies and stayed away from fried stuff. I can tell you the next day I felt great!! It was like I got all the stuff I truly needed.
