Hi everyone! I have a question for all of you! I really want to start noticing muscle toning going on yet I feel like it's never going to happen if I don't hit the gym...so my question is this: will my muscles get toned just by swimming and going to my zumba classes or do I have to go to the gym?

Thanks!

I'd lke to know the same thing. I can never make it to the gym because of how tight my schedule is so I wonder if I can tone at home.

they do have zumba toneing classes, they can be pretty intense
I have been doing light weights at home they seem to be working
    slowly

I'm no expert, nor have I been to a zumba class but I suspect that
swimming and zumba are more cardio than toning, although
lots of either will work the muscles and tone but will likely take
a much longer time to see results.

I finally have some definition on my arms and legs but have been
working with a trainer at my local gym. I don't do alot of heavy
weights and alot of it is resistance training.

There are lots of toning exercises you can do at home with little
or no equiptment. Dips off of the stairs are a great way to tone
triceps. Pushups work arms shoulders and core. Squats and
lunges will work your legs. Google at home toning exercises
for more sugestions and toning ideas. Be sure to give your
muscles a day of rest between (thats when they actually "build"
back up after you work them out.)

    Good Luck!
