What's on your workout playlist?

Options
Hey all, I'm trying to make up a new workout playlist. What's on yours that makes you push harder and faster? To give you an idea of mine, I just added the LMFAO song ("Party Rock," I think it's called?) and some Taio Cruz. Let me know what's on yours!

I just add a ton of music to mine and then hit random. If I don't like the song I skip.

I have a bunch from old disco to new stuff. My kids were listening to it the other day and said that I had a great mix of music. Not too shabby coming from a couple of teens. :)

I spend more time making a playlist than I spend working out, to be honest. Like a good road trip, I need (what I consider) good music when I run. I listen to a bit of everything.

    Lady Gaga - Judas
Coal Chamber - No Home, Dark Days
    Wumpscut - Pooch
    Lily Allen - Smile
Goldfrapp - Strict Machine, Ride a White Horse
Alice in Videoland - Candy, Emily
    Hawksley Workman - Smoke Baby
    Hadouken - M.A.P.S.
M.C. Hawking - The Hawkman Cometh
    The Prodigy - Diesel Power
    Nightwish - Kinslayer, Planet Hell
    Daft Punk - Technologic
    Rihanna - Hard
    Fear Factory - Edgecrusher
    Freezepop - Special Effects

I dl the soundtrack and find this dramatic song nice during a long run especially during its climaxes..Its the final fight scene from the matrix.

    Gets good a 1:12, 2:03

I also find trance music to be awesome like the "State of Trance" live concerts that are available to dl from Armin Van Buuren, tours all over Europe.

For running, I just added to my shuffle:

She be killin 'em - by fabolous
When I roll up - by wiz khalifa -- a little slower, but i like the lyrics for a run :) "when I roll up. . . .I'll be there shortly. . etc."
and the one that goes, "throw your hands up-" I think it's a pitbull song- really great beat for cardio.

I LOVE Girl Talk! That was my default for a while! I still use it when we go on trips and I'm stuck running on a treadmill. :) Keep the posts coming! I've already got a great I-need-to-download-these list going!

    Depends on my mood really.

Lately it's been a mix of Marilyn Manson. ;D

But classical, oldies, rock, etc...just about anything as long as I'm in the right mood.

In going through a lot of the songs I've had on workout playlists before, I notice a theme. I tend to pick songs that reference being (or make me feel) "sexy." Haha. I suppose that's as good of motivation as anything, right?!

For cardio, if I want to just pore sweat, it's Offspring all the way. I swear I can smell smoke coming from the elliptical when I'm rocking out to them! And my heart rate shoots thru the roof! I will listen to some Nickleback for cardio, too.

Cool down is Kings of Leon, Joss Stone, Silversun Pickups. A little old skool Violent Femmes to a point.

LOTS of Slipknot... Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Evanescence, Skillet, Stone Sour (not the soft stuff), Otep, 5FDP, Saliva, Crystal Method, Staind (not the soft stuff), Drowning Pool, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Dropkick Murphys, and a few local bands like, Monoxide Project, Smoke Out Johnny. But let me tell you, when I'm wanting to be whiney, give up and go home, nothing says "get out there and gut the4 f**k through it" like some Slipknot. Cool down with Thelonnious Monk, Glenn Miller, Staind (the soft stuff) Dave Brubeck, Peter Gabriel, Simon and Garfunkel, Tori Amos, and (oddly) Alanis Morisette, Stone Sour (the soft stuff), NIrvana.

Techno to Hard Rock. If it makes me wake up...all the better. Favorite bands for working out are Rage Against the Machine, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Tool....
