have a small snack maybe 30 minutes before (like almonds or even an apple) and just portion control your dinner. that helps me.:flowerforyou:

Drink water (about 24 ounces) an hour or so before dinner. Then you won't eat as much.

Also drink a glass of water during eating. The Paul McKenna system has a good method as well, which is to put your knife and fork down between each bite, and try not to be distracted at the same time, i.e., switch off telly etc. By doing so, you're better able to listen to your body's needs and know when you are full, stopping before being bloated.

Don't eat while watching tv, and don't eat in your comfy pants! :)

Figure out what foods are making you feel bloated and avoid them. I don't eat pasta much anymore, cause it makes me feel yuck. Also, dish out your plate and then (if possible) put any leftovers away. Don't leave it sitting on the table for you to pick at and keep eating even after you know you should stop. Try to eat slowly and fully chew all your food.

Drink water. Slow your eating down. Stop when you feel full not when the plate is empty. Also use a smaller plate. That has helped me the most.

True this! On days when I really want to just binge and eat the world I put on some snug jeans and suddenly I'm more likely to go for a run than to eat an entire bag of whatever...

I plate all our food in the kitchen before bringing the plates to the table for our family, and then put whatever's left away. The only food I put out on the table is a big bowl of salad and veggie sticks for the kids (they don't like salad).
