Turbo Fire...Am I doing something wrong?

I started off the year, January 1st, and did one round of P90X and as of today I'm in my 14th week of Turbo Fire. I can't follow the nutrition guides like I want to because of my limited grocery budget but I do the best I can. I started off the year weighing 177 pounds, today I weighed in at 159 pounds.

Anyhow I'm seeing others that are loosing A LOT more than I have in a shorter amount of time. It's very frustrating because I push myself during every workout and eat as healthy as possible but I'm not seeing big numbers. I know I'm close to my goal weight and things slow down but OMG, the fat on my hips, thighs, butt, and stomach won't go away! My weekly weigh-ins are okay but I've been disappointed with either the scale or the measuring tape.

Has anyone else out there gone through this? What can I do to get some big numbers on the scale-measuring tape-or in the mirror?

I'm probably the slowest loser on the planet, I have added strength training and the loss is a very very slow but steady .5 lb a week. I do get discouraged but, I look at the big picture and figure that at this rate after a year I'll be 26 lbs down. Do you use a heart rate monitor? That might be helpful.

I think some people just lose weight faster than others. My body wants to hang on to every ounce of fat imaginable it seems. Anyway, I'm playing around with my macronutrient settings on MFP. I slightly bumped up my protein % and lowered my carb % intakes and hopefully that will help a little.

I think you are great! You are very consistent with your workouts and diary. I wouldn't change any of the foods you eat-it really doesn't get any better than that.....you don't eat a lot of extra sugar, carbs, or fat. I have a terrible time as well, I think when you get closer to your goal the SLOWER it comes off!! Maybe you need to change a few things to shock your body??

Maybe add in some heavy lifting from P90x a few days a week?
Do you always eat your exercise calories? Maybe cut back on some of those??

Just throwing some things out there....

I'm on week 7 and have lost 3-4 pounds. That's it. Of course my eating hasn't been great but it makes me HUNGRY. I beginning to wonder if I should just finish the program and worry about weight loss later.
