Digging In

We've all had hit a plateau, have hit a solid wall, or just flat-lined completely. When those times come up what do you do? Do you throw in the towel and say "I'm finished" ? Or do you pick it up and go "One more time" ? I believe that all of us just need to dig our toes deep into the warm sand, have our chins held high and feel the sweeping breeze of WILL flow over us. It takes a lot to dig ankle, knee or even waist deep. We feel as if we're drowning in sinking sand and choking on all our inspirations rather than breathing them in and allowing them to empower us rather than frighten us. Everyone knows you cannot fight your way out of sinking sand, but you can fight your way back into a refreshing pool of "I'm not giving up". For some of us, this is the beginning of a long journey. For others, we just need to take a breather in the midst of our inner chaos. There's nothing wrong with walking away for a moment to release the exhaustion, the hurt, the disappointment. There is something wrong with walking so far away that you can no longer see the horizon and let it become night and never day. Everyone, dig in and dig in deep. Just know that you have a support system ready to catch you when you plateau, when you hit that solid wall, and to breathe life back into you when you've flat-lined. Don't say "I'm finished" until you really are and only when you've gotten that golden trophy in your hand to represent all you've accomplished.
