Does muscle actually weigh more than fat. I've heard so many different opinions. Does anyone know the truth? Please help!

Lean muscle takes up less space within the body than fat, but weighs more as it's more dense.0

1lb of fat weighs the same as 1lb of muscle because weight doesn't change.

ok lets break this down. you have 1 pound of feathers and 1 pound of bricks which weighs more?? They both weigh the same. The differance is the density. 1lb of fat is going to take up more room than 1lb of muscle. the same way you would have a buch more feathers to make 1lb than you would to have 1lb of bricks.0

No it does not weigh more to use the words in the attached link 5lb's is 5lbs.... BUT 5 lbs. of fat is much bulkier than the 5 lbs. of muscle, but five pounds is still five pounds....

If you had a lump of fat the size of a golf ball, and a lump of muscle the size of a golf ball, the ball made of muscle will weigh more.0
