NSVs help give a boost

So I have always feared the dreaded plateau stage happening to me and sure enough it has! I have been stuck at the same weight for the last four/five weeks or so and it has been getting me down.
But I was going to the theatre last night and needed to buy new clothes (people have been telling me my clothes look a bit like hand me downs) something I have always hated. Anyway this was the first time buying clothes since starting out in January; I wasn't 100% sure what the results would be, but was I surprised! I moved from a size 40 waist in jeans/trousers to a size 34 waist, a size I haven't been in over 10 years (high school) and I moved from XXL Shirts to a L shirt (with room to spare).
This has give me a boost of confidence and while the scale isn't budging, it has really hammered home what the people here are always saying, its a marathon not a sprint. Im happy to wait for the scale to start moving again and in the mean time take the small or big nsvs.

That is an awesome feeling! I hate relying on scale numbers, like you said they can be fickle. Keep on enjoying those NSVs and know that you're doing a great job!0

wow, what a story!! congrats on allyour hard work!! I have been battling with the sprint v marathon mentality.
My plateau finally broke this morning after 3 weeks. We must remember that its the baby steps we take that will get us further along in the end. It wont happen over night, heck, it might even take a YEAR! But in the end... we will be much better for it!0 -
That's great! I can't wait to go down a size!0
