Motivation to Exercise and CHANGE :)

Being raised in the south all my life I have grown up on southern aka fried cooking. Since my lifestyle change two years ago, I have eliminated everything fried, made numerous other nutritional changes, added excerise, and have lost approximately 40 lbs.
I am indeed from the south. However, at this point I am not to sure I want to claim it. This morning a local news channel reported an alarming story.
Obesity rates in America are higher than ever. All three midsouth states are in the TOP 10! Mississippi is #1, Tennessee #4, and Arkansas #9. hmm... proof that us southerners need to get off the couch and quit frying foods!
With that said...This is enough motivation for my workout this morning...
What's yours?

I live in San Antonio! Tex Mex capital of the WORLD!!! Now that I am losing weight, I found its easier to find NICE clothes at the second hand stores / good will. NICE ones - almost with tags still on them!

My husband and I were watching a news report that said that 2/3rds of American adults are obese! So sad that our country has gotten so lazy.0

I'm starting to see muscle tone for the first time in years and I'm not getting sick and crashing anymore which is huge motivation. Nothing like setting goals and being able to make them and exceed them without your own body sabotaging the process. Course my problem is different than most but I'll take it.0

mmm San Antonio
I grew up in Dallas/Ft. Worth and miss the Tex Mex lol - I'd totally work to fit that into my calories every so often lol
My motivation is my kids - I gained most of my weight from a mis-diagnosed medical issue that put my on Steroid treatments for close to a year, and so was totally lost with what to do and just kept getting bigger
My motivation was to be able to play sports again (with my babies) and to be healthy for them and myself...
Hugs to everyone (man hug as appropriate) who cares enough about themselves and the loved ones in their lives to make such a positive and worthwhile change!0
