Hi everyone, I just recently signed up for MFP because I think a food/exercise diary is a great way to hold yourself accountable for what you do to your (and your family's) bodies, and I'd love to talk to like-minded people approaching fitness in a healthy and sustainable way. By this I mean not starving yourself, taking pills, cutting out certain foods... you know what I mean.

I have a REALLY small frame (ring size 3.5, if that tells you anything), I'm only 5'2", and was really thin for most of my life, without at all considering what I ate. Welp, that caught up with me and I managed to gain 30 lbs. I went from fitting into kids' clothes (and not at an unhealthy weight!) to wearing a size 6, and honestly one of my main problems has been that when you are a size 6 nobody thinks you should be worried about your weight! Unfortunately, the weight is really out of place on my very small frame. I'm talking a jiggly, cellulite-y mess.

So, my mom passed away from surgery complications after a SECOND bypass (peripheral vascular disease), and she was only 53. Many of my family members have diabetes, and both alzheimer's and prostate cancer run in my (and my husband's) family. It took me a long time to deal with my mom's death, but I have finally started getting back to being myself and started really considering the potential impact to my own family's health. I went back to school and started making gradual lifestyle changes, and I've now lost 20 of the pounds I gained (wooooooooooooooo!). Unfortunately, I keep having setbacks (some from physical injuries) at this point and feel like I really need some additional motivation to reach my goal! My nutrition is really good, and I'm a new runner, but I really need to step up the exercising to get these last 10 pounds off my stupid tiny bones!!!!!!

Thanks, and please add me if you want, I would love the support!
