I've been trying to lose weight and so far I've been successful......but recently I've noticed that I have a pooch that looks kinda puffy. I didn't notice it that much before but 31 pounds shedded later It's super noticable to me. The rest of my body looks good and very well proportioned but this pooch has got me going insane and making me feel FAT! I hate that word but I'm usuing it because that's how I feel right now. I lost the weight I wanted to lose and now I want to tone, tone, tone! Any advice on how I can get rid of this terrible eyesore?! :grumble: P.S. I'm buying an eliptical this weekend. :ohwell:

my belly is still big... and i run and do curcuits for strength... i know that most of losing belly fat is diet... i've been trying to eat clean and cut way down on the alcohol... that is helping... i have a small tattoo on my hip... i can now see it without sucking in my belly!!

you can target areas of the body for toning muscle but not for fat reduction (you lose fat at the same rate all over your body). most people have a pooch after they've lost everywhere else because a lot of people deposit more fat around their middles than on other places of the body, so it is going to take longer for it to go away from your middle than takes on your arms or legs.
don't be discouraged - you're obviously doing what you need to do! just stick with your fitness routine, and perhaps work in additional ab and plank work to get your core as strong as possible. if you keep up with toning your abs, that should help pull the "pooch" into a more toned shape. the only thing you can do is to keep it up, and eventually, you will burn the extra fat on your belly.

Jillian Michaels says reverse crunches are good for toning that pooch in the 30 day shred video.
