140s, why do you allude me so?

Ugh! I have been faithfully following mfp, tracking my cals, exercising and I was so excited last week when I hit 150 as I was a mere 1 pound away from the 140s!!! I haven't been in the 140s in YEARS! Then, I went camping, ate and drank a little more than I should have, came home 2 pounds up. Now, I've worked all week, been PRISTINE, and am today at 151.5. UGH!!! It's not water, and not my TOM and I didn't eat/drink 7000 cals over last weekend. My pattern is that my weight tends to zig zag up and down so I'm not discouraged just a tad frustrated. It's been over 12 weeks since I've been working hard and I just want to start seeing progress again. Sigh.

You and I are almost exactly in the same boat. I've been on here since mid April, and I'm right where you are. Feelin' your pain.

First, I love your tagline "Pease only respond to my posts with kindness, if you don't like what you read, feel free to move on." :)
I feel your pain, OH SO WELL. I, too, over-indulged over the 4th, and the scale said FOUR pounds up. Lost 2 in a couple days, but have NOT stepped on the scale again this week. I'm in the 150's, and also have been working hard, like you. I also know I didn't eat an extra 7,000 calories. What gives, right? I know I've felt really bloated, so I'm drinking water like crazy. Try not to beat yourself up about it. Try doing some zig-zagging calories, some extra cardio. Do you need to change your lb/week value? How 'bout low or no-carbing for a few days? I'm also going to have to shake things up to get things moving again. Hang in there!

Not to be off subject, but I should have been an english teacher. Then again, I could never be a teacher because I would want to beat the hell out of someone else's kids.

Society tends to frown upon that.

P.S. Just giving you a hard time. For helpful advice, see the PLATEAU link in my profile. Also make sure you are consistent about how much water you drink, it can make a big difference on a day to day fluctuation.

P.P.S. I LOVE your profile pic. Thats sweet ;)

I know exactly how you feel...I've been in the 130's forever and I just want to make it to 129!! I get so close at 131 then weekend comes and by Monday I'm back to 136....UGH!!!! Its my fault I know....good food and wine but two days of eating bad and gain my weight right back over 5 days of eating good with working out and lose 1 pound!! I'm in my 30's so age is not my freind. Good luck!!

You are NOT alone! I was so exicted 3 weeks ago when I hit 149! I couldn't believe I could finally just slide the bottom bar to 100 and NOT 150. Then I hit my bad week...PMS...ugh!!! for the past 3 weeks I have been staying right around 151. I want that 140's number back so bad!!!

When I hit 150 i was the same way, It took about 2 weeks to get into the 140's, it will happen!! Your just getting down to a healthy weight and these small stalls happen, just keep doing what your doing and keep up with your water intake and it will happen, trust me :flowerforyou:

Ooooh ya I wondered about that (elude vs. allude), damn. I AM a teacher just didn't feel like stressing about it. No problem though, I hate the "lose/loose" thing.

I drink tons of water, but I've been under cals the last couple days so maybe that's why. I also stay to a low carb type plan (around 75g day average).

I will keep on keepin' on and hope that something gives!

I think it just gets harder once you get closer to your goal. I just changed my goals to try and lose .5lb a week instead of one. I'm hoping the change will get me moving again.

This post made me lol really hard. XD

But yeah, I feel the pain of not getting to a certain "10" of weight. Just hang in there, it'll happen

haha, I'm verryyy slowly inching down through the 150's too. I think each 10 lb increment just gets harder! Oh well, makes sense, seeing as we are losing a higher percentage of our body weight the lower we get... I will be SO stoked once I finally see the 140's. :p

I completely feel you! I'm stuck at 150 right now too. It's only been about 8 days stuck at this weight, but I'm getting frustrated! I want to be in the 140's again. It'll feel like a big milestone for me!

How many calories are you eating? How tall are you? I'm 5'8" 151 Ibs and I eat 1600-1950 calories a day..

I'm 5'3" and have my cals set at 1200. I do calorie cycle a bit though and eat most of my exercise cals back but not if I burn like 1000 in a day (which is rare). I think the hardest part about this phase is that you waver between just being happy with a leaner body and fitting back into everything and still being motivated to lose those last 5-10 pounds. I don't know if others feel that way? I'm short so my "ideal weight" is in the 120s but there is NO WAY I would even want to get that low. I'm a curvier girl and like it that way. My boobs are already getting a little small haha. I would ideally like to be in the 140-145 range.
