Eating enough

Whats up with everybody harassing everybody else constantly about not eating enough on their food diary?
Didn't most all of us get here because we were eating too much?
How about not being pushy, and letting people make their own food choices?

If you don't like the support your friends are offering, de-friend them.0 -
I'm not talking about my friends, I'm talking about what I see going on on many, many people's pages.0

Because it's very common for people to make the mistake of thinking that if a small deficit is good, a huge deficit must be better. Unfortunately there are very serious consequences to long-term under-feeding (I'm not talking someone who is starving, but someone who is eating - just not enough to properly fuel his/her body).
Quite a few MFP users are aware of this common mistake/problem and feel that it's important to let others know when they might be entering that danger zone.
If someone makes comments to you that you feel don't apply, then ignore them - but all of us encouraging people to eat *enough* are doing so with honest concern and care for our fellow MFP'ers.0 -
I don't say anything unless it's an every day or frequent thing. I may say something out of concern because on MFP You are already on a calorie restriction. And if you are already at 1,200 and only eating 600 calories a day it's not healthy. People are my friends here on MFP and I have begun to care about alot of them, and care about their health. I'm not gonna be rude but I will question them, and encourage them to seek help if it seems like that are leaning close to an eating disorder. Many times we see "so and so has finished logging and is under calories for the day" we say WAY TO GO, But sometimes when you LOOK at their diary, it's scary because you know they aren't eating enough to sustain themselves.People have open diarys because they want people to see what they've been eating. Some may have an eating disorder and need people to point out "hey i see you are trying but lets try a bit harder"0
