what our true BMR is. I think mine might be lower than what MFP has me at. I was laying in bed and decided to do my HRM and I have a low resting heart rate. Is that going to make me burn less calories when Im not doing anything. After my baby was born I was actually admitted to the hospital because my heart rate was to low. It was around 30 beats per minute. ITs not that low now but it was in the 50's last night.

I get mine from Wikepedia.
Ha!
I just paid $220 to get mine...but if it works, then it was totally worth it. I was sick of all the guessing.0 -
I guess you could turn your HRM on and lay in bed for an hour and take a nap or not do anything at all. Then multiply your calories burned by 24. I don't know if my BMR is accurate, but I did wear my HRM all day once, just to see how many calories I burned on a typical day (without working out). I found I was more active during the day than I thought, even with a job where I'm at my desk a lot.0

I had my BMR calculated at the gym on the Polar Body Age Machine. I believe MFP says that mine is only around 1600, but the Body Age Machine says that it is 2099.0

I'm getting my BMR and body fat tested (water immersion) next month for $90! Can't wait. I do have a HRM, but I'm curious to see what my BMR is, and compare it to what MFP says.0 -

I had a Resting Metabolic rate test, active metabolic test and a DEXA fat scan. I'm hoping that it was worth the price I paid...hopefully it will pay off. As far as how close it was...I think MFP had my BMR at 1650 and this said that my RMR was 1749. So not that far off.0
