Before joining here, I lost about 60 lbs, which is awesome! But, I've never really been able to see it on myself. A friend's sister ran into me the other day, and mentioned to my friend that it looked like I'd lost some weight! So, I highly suggest getting in touch with people you've not seen in a while if you've had some good weight loss, and I really think the feedback when they see the difference will be amazingly motivating, especially if you can't see it yourself. I look in the mirror daily, so gradual changes are imperceptible. The last time I saw this girl was maybe six months ago, and that was almost 30 lbs ago. So, it feels great!

I love it when this happens, not only do they notice your weight but your whole new confidence and other things!

    This is where photos help.

I still think of myself as 'fat'. I get suprised when I see myself in the mirror and feel weird even looking at a (UK) size ten dress.

Looking at photos lets me see how much a difference 26lb and three dress sizes can make. 60lb must be amazing.

But it does help when people notice lol - a work collegue hadn't seen me for 6 months and she now calls me the 'amazing dissapearing Jenny' and my best friend works away a lot - every time he see's me he tells me how much fitter I look. Where as friends who see me each day rarely comment.

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss - that is incredible! And secondly, I know what you mean. My family has noticed that I have lost weight but I do not see it at all. Keep up the great work :)

Wow - you've made awesome progress!!

I think sometimes we just shrink all over, so it's hard to see that we really are getting smaller, because we're proportionally still the same. Trying on old clothes or before and after pics are great, but those don't always indicate progress. It must feel great to have people notice your accomplishments
