Hey!! I am currently entering my 2nd year of grad school in the fall. This happened last summer...I develop really good eating and exercising habits, then the semester comes and all my new habits and hard work goes out the window!!!! Feel free to friend me!! I would love to keep each other motivated!! It is so tough to keep at it when you have a billion other things to do and worry about!0

Check out undressedskeleton.tumblr.com
I know the name sounds weird but she has many healthy tips on how to manage weight loss and maintaining while in college. While I am pas that stage I love her blog because she provides such awesome ideas and motivation.
I use her meal plans for ideas.0 -
I'll be going into my second year of law school in the fall! Somehow I managed to join a gym and start losing weight halfway into my first year.
Here's to keeping up the good work!!0 -

Same here I go to school full time and work full time, so fall semester coming up scares me... Im a stress eater and I gained about 25lbs last year during school. I have just now gotten my motivation together and I dont want it all to fly out the window once school starts0

StarAly: Yeah, this girl may have good recipes and such, but she says she eats 1000 cals a day, and her BMI puts her well into the underweight category. People keep recommending her website on MFP but I think readers should be aware of this hen they're looking at her site.
As a response to the thread, I'm a rising 3rd year, and definitely hoping my busy schedule with classes and work will allow me to maintain good eating habits. Feel free to add me!0 -

I've seen her tumblr around before, checked out her meal plans, etc. and was equally appalled at the 1000 calorie meal plans. But apparently now that I'm browsing again, in one of her recent posts she says she only plans all her meals/snacks at 1k a day to allow 400-600 extra calories for unplanned snacking. Who knows.
All that stuff aside, her section on students here does have useful tips, but a lot of it is just common sense. Good luck all of you, I know you can figure out ways to make healthy choices! I can't even imagine how hard it is, I thank my lucky stars I'm living in my own apartment rather than a dorm, haha.0 -
I've been stressing over next semester too! I live on a residential campus where everyone eats in the cafeteria for almost every meal. Our cafeteria is a BUFFET with all the food homemade by chefs. No nutrition information, no ingredients lists, and I know our chefs have an affinity for extra salt and oil.
I will be here to support you!0 -
About undressedskeleton. I'm only 4'11 so her meal plans are perfect for me. She does say whats someone else posted. She plans for 1k but allows for through snacks and extra calories that sneak in.0

I"m a 2nd year grad student right now. I'm currently in classes and have finals for the next 2 weeks. Then a month off which i'm seriously hitting the gym every day I think! I start back the last week of august. I now have 100 cal packs of snacks and other things (no refrigeration required) in the trunk of my car since my classes are 2 back to back 3 hour lectures.
I'm just hoping I don't fall off the wagon by october. I keep wanting results faster than what they are coming and need to remember it doesn't work like that.0 -
You're telling me! When next semester starts, I am going to be in another country.
I have no idea how hard it is going to be to stay healthy while abroad . . .0 -
Entering my second year in August.
I hope I don't gain the weight I'm trying to lose from my first year. Thankfully my apartment/dorm has a kitchen so no more caff. food!0 -
Me I'll be starting my second year at the end of august. But I'm moving into my first apartment on campus aug 1st! Hoping living out on my own will give me more control to cook healthier food plus I'll be walking to class daily and the rec center is right around the corner in addition to a fitness room thts in my apartment building.
Would live to have more college student friends who are trying to get healthy0 -
I just wrote a blog post writing down my food plan for the semester, maybe it can help someone else?
