Muscle weight and Fat weight

When I first started this journey back to healthful living I noticed that I wasn't losing as much weight as I wanted to, but I was losing fat. I tried different variations in my workout routines and found that I was losing fat weight, but I was maintaining or gaining muscle weight. At first I thought ok I really want to lose weight, but realized that I would lose out somewhere. Gaining muscle was really helping me to burn the fat. So my main focus now is to build muscle. I would rather my suits snug because of muscle then because of fat. WDYT?

I think that muscle snug in a suit is hot! I think you should get your body fat checked and track that instead of weight.:drinker:

That is the same "problem" I have run into but, once I realized what was happening and I am noticing that my clothes are looser on me, the more I am convinced that I am doing the right thing. There is no way that I will stop my weight training. I love how I feel after my workouts and can't stop looking at my more defined shoulders, arms and thighs.

Definitely keep track of BF% instead of weight! As long as you feel (and feel that you look) better, the less the number on the scale will matter, anyway!

I track it all. THis is a great site for all 3. Weight, BF, and BMI. http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html
