I'm just starting out (okay, for the 100th time) and I'm ready to start a regular exercise program, other than walking occasionally. I am hoping to get some suggestions for a good (and affordable) workout DVD or 2. I used to work out at the gym regularly, but that's been some time ago. I no longer have a membership, and I have no equipment other than a few light weights at home, and no room for any either (unfortunately). Let me know what your favorites are please! I appreciate it.

Yup, without a doubt. Got mine at amazon/com for $7.99. Best money I've spent on my weight loss endeavour so far.

yes, 30 DS can be done in a small space, takes about 35 minutes from the time you put the DVD in the player until you walk to the shower, and is very effective when used with proper diet. Good luck! Walking is very good for you, but I would suggest mixing some running intervals in there to boost your fat burning. :)

Thanks! I was wondering about the 30 day shred. Is it something a "beginner" can use? Like I said, it's been a while. And as far as the running goes....I would love to, but I have a bad knee and need to get a new brace first. So next week I'm shopping.....

To be honest, if you have a bad knee, I don't think I would recommend the 30 day shred after all. I've never had knee issues and after completing it (and I hear from others too, so it's not just me) I had slight knee pain when getting up and down. It has a lot of squats and lunges in it.

I'm no doctor or professional, just stating from my own experience =)

Yea the shred you jump a lot. Maybe zumba it i s a lot of hip swaying, some jumps though you odnt need to do it. I have some pilates dvds and they are great you dont really break a sweat and the get a great toning workout.
