Hi guys! So this is what I just posted to my friends and I figured I'd share with everyone in case it helps someone.
I know I was worried about upping my calories and all the boards really helped me, giving some great advice so now it's my turn!

smex14 Ok, so i dunno if this is tmi or whatever but it may help some of you! 2 weeks ago I posted about how I had gained 1lb but lost body fat so was happy....well also 2 weeks ago I increased my calories from 1200 to 1500 a day net. Only weigh in every 2 weeks now so was pretty excited to see the results but gutted today cuz my TOM is driving me crazy and I feel so big and bloated - total whale. HOWEVER I got on the scale, still was THE SAME WEIGHT ***BUT***...i have LOST 2lbs PURELY IN BODY FAT! my body fat was 23kg last time and now is 22.1kg. So I guess I can put the fact my weight stayed the same down to TOM/muscle or something - but not fat! now is that a NSV or an SV??? Pretty happy My body fat is going down!!! :)

also - (sorry to go on) goes to show that increasing your calories doesn't stop that fat from falling off, for anyone that was afraid to go above 1200. keep up the cardio and enjoy your food :)

I've been saying this for a while. I eat between 1500-1700 calories a day. Gives me energy, I'm not putting weight on. I'm losing still also.

I just upped my calories from 1200 to 1300 yesterday. At that time, I wasn't too sure if it was the right thing to do. After reading your post, I feel more confident in my decision. Thank you! I really needed this!

Thanks for that. My daily MFP goal is 1200 and I'm usually right around that each day even though I'm burning on average 400-500 calories 6 days a week (and not eating back my exercise cals). I haven't been losing in the past two weeks or so and I was seriously thinking of upping my calories to see if that helps. I figured it has to be something with my eating because I'm busting my butt working out so it can't be that right.

I upped mine from 1200 to 1400. Feel better already and dropped .6 in a week. That's good for me! Will be staying away from the scale for a while. With me, if I weigh in too much, I may get frustrated because of the fluctuation. Great job!

thanks everyone :) If you are considering it I would say try it, if it doesn't work then it was worth a shot! Also I think I'm going to start realying on my body fat percentage and appearance rather than the scale. Thank you for your kind comments :)
