Any Hemp Protein Powders that don't taste like crap?!

The first vegan protein powder I bought was Vega...GROSS. Just not for me. My roommate liked it but I gagged with the first sip. Besides, Vega is REALLY expensive. Anybody have any suggestions for vegan protein powders? Thanks!

I have been using the Nature's way Efagold Hemp powder. It seems ok to me, but I mix it with fruit and yogurt so I can't really taste it all that much. This is the first time that I have used hemp powder.

if it's tasting like crap does it have more than just the hemp in it? flavours, colours etc? I get my whey protein plain and my hemp as well, well I'll eat either hemp seeds or hemp hearts depending on where I'm buying.

Here in the uk with "Good Hemp" powder i buy it mail order so you might be able to buy it. I get the strawberry one & mix it with oat milk, banana & honey. Works out to 311 cal & makes it taste loads better if only it would stop being a yucky green :(

I guess the trick is to mix it with something sweet & strong tasting to mask the 'natural' flavour, good luck x

    Whey isn't vegan though. :P

I really like the Sun Warrior brand, it tastes great to me. Are you specifically looking only for hemp? You might also wanna try rice, pea, or soy too and see what type of protein powder suits you best. I don't know if it was the taste or texture that bothered you, but I find rice or hemp protein a little gritty... but I don't mind it, as long as it tastes good. I also mix my protein powder with almond milk and a banana, which really helps to make it quite sweet.

i use Manitoba Harvest Hemp Fiber Pro. it's not a protien powder per se, it's more about the fiber, but i do know they make protien powder as well. i add it to my smoothies, and other than the fact that it makes them look yucky from the colour, it doesn't add significantly to the flavour. although when i use the full recommended amount, i can taste it, but it just tastes like raw hemp seeds to me, which remind me of sunflower seeds. so i don't mind it.

it is a Canadian brand, so idk if it is available in the states, specially as far south as Fl.

LOL yep definitely no whey for me :) And well I try to steer away from soy, so that's why I was interested in Hemp, Pea, of Rice :) I have heard good things about the Sun Warrior brands so maybe I should try that! Thanks!
