So, I am officially going away with a friend in October. I'm a UK 16 to 18 mow, and 182lbs. What, realistically could I get down to before I go away? Also, I'll be doing 1 and a half days working in a charity shop, working the till, cleaning, stocking and other things like that. In a day that goes from 9am to 530pm, how many calories (roughly) would I be burning?

I really want to look good in the pictures, my friend is around a UK size 10 and quite tall, I'm 5ft 2 so not expecting to look like a supermodel but a bit less plump would be nice!

  • If you stuck with losing 2 -3 lbs a week you could lose easily in 11 weeks about 22-33 lbs ... just as a healthy tip. You should never try to lose more than 2-3 lbs / week. I would stick with 2lbs per week and you should be ok so somewhere between 20-30 lbs. :) I have all the faith in the world that you can do it!!!

    Thank you

I just have to try and make sure I get to the pool on a couple of the days I'm not volunteering, and just be really strict when I'm out and about with friends.

I think my mini goal is to be comfortable enough to wear a bikini, I've only got a very unflattering one piece or a tankini that is closer to a short wetsuit it covers that much of me!

I didn't realize I could lose quite that much by then, that's a fair chunk of weight!
  • The key is keep changing up everything you do. Don't let your body get use to it and then you won't plateau. It's not going to be easy but I have a feeling if you stay strict that you can do it. People don't realize how easy it CAN be to lose that much weight 2lbs a week and stay healthy and keep moving. The trick is no splurges, strict calorie counting, strict exercising and no rest days! I think you'll be amazing. Now if I just stuck to my tips I'd lose easily 50lbs by the end of the year. Good luck... :)
