I love using my HRM and feel so much better about eating back calories now that I know what I have most likely have burned. I try to stay in my "zone" but certain things like the 30 day shred and Zumba has me out of the "zone" a bit more than I would like, however, it cant be that bad to be over?

I think I understand the purpose of keeping the aerobic zone, but will going over hinder weight loss? If so, anyone have an idea to what extent?

Much thanks! :) I just want o provide the best work out to shed some weight! :)

i really don't think going over, or even a little under will hinder weight loss as you're still burning calories...my 'zone' is 126-165 and i have days where i go walking and am only in my zone for some of that time, and sometimes when i workout it's much higher...and it's not hindered my weight loss at all

It really depend on your work out. I've started using different HR limits. If you click into exercise, go to "settings" and then go to HR limits, automatic, and then choose basic, moderate, or hard depending how you think your work out will go.

No - anaerobic training will not hurt your weight loss.

While high intensity training will primarily be fueled by the glycogen depots, those depots will have to be replenished once the training is over and that replenishment will in part come from the fat depots.

Anaerobic training is however linked to muscle building and may result in a growth in muscle mass which may effect your weight loss rate
