Honestly when you really want to do it, and are willing to make the changes it isn't that hard.
You just have to make it a priority, no matter what else you have going on, plan your meals, and make time to exercise.0 -

You will find so much help and support here.
Welcome.
Once you make the decision to JUST DO IT, it will happen. You CAN do it!0 -
I agree, you made the first step by joining MFP. It'll take a few weeks, but once you start losing pounds, you'll be motivated by your own success. It's just that the first few pounds don't always come easy. I'm patiently waiting for my weight to start going down. In the meantime, I'm watching my calories and diligently working out every morning. You can do it!!0

Thanks a lot for all your words of encourage; I already feel very motivated
I am new in this site. The next weeks will be very important to me. I am a foreign graduated physician and in 3 months or less I will take my last exam to get my MD in US. I feel like if I was sleeping for 10 years just depressed and with no wishes at all to improve things in my life, specially after my father died from cancer. This medical license is something I have been dreaming for years ever since I came to America but I was never determined to make it happen, yet I was able to pass 2 of the 3 exams, so now is just one left. God willing if I pass this exam with a decent score I can start my medical residence in 2012.
I need to lose weight, Big Time!!! the same I gained over almost 10 years of living in US. It's unbelievable how I let all those pounds to pack up around me like nothing I come from Peru, all the food there is always fresh and our dressings is always salt and lime. I know I can still be making those choices but being married to an Italian-American guy, more American I would say It can be very challenging for Eating clean purposes I love my family and I am doing this for them too. Hubby needs to lose weight too but less than me. I know, the only one to blame for this is me, me, and me!
I have a daughter now, she is almost 3 years, I had her when I was 34, a big blessing from God. I can't blame my pregnancy to gain weight, actually I lost a lot after the pregnancy but then I gained them back, arrrrrgggghhhh!!!! >(
So, this is my story, I am 37 years old and I feel like if my haven't started yet. does it make sense? or maybe I am just such a goof :?
My Current Weight: 155 Lbs
My Dream Weight: 110Lbs
I would love to reach this weight by November 8th, on my 38th birthday.
Let's get Started!!!0 -
