you really can't lose weight super fast, but do a lot of exercises, and eat clean and you may drop weight fast, but idk if you will lose a whole lot. I have found that losing a little bit at a time really helps because its a better chance that it will stay off rather than losing it fast, because it may come back on at the same rate. I've lost 32.2 lbs to date since Feb 8th, 2009. Not the best I have done, but I'm only 4/10ths away from my lowest weight of the year, so I'm happy about that. The weight flutuates every single day... I hope you are able to lose what you want before everything, but if you were super worried about it, you should have started before these events had been announced. I started my journey because I realized that I wasn't in the best shape (I have a physical disability and it was causing me problems walking because of the extra weight), and I am glad I started 2+ years ago because I will be in a wedding in about a month, for my sister. :)

If you completely cut carbs (including fruit) and salt and live on lean meat and steamed vegetables for a week, you could lose 5 pounds, but you will be miserable from low energy, wont want to work out, and it will be a lot of water weight.

Quick weight loss will come back to bite you in the behind. And weight you drop quickly is typically water weight and muscle mass. I'd rather lose one pound of fat than drop two pounds quickly and a good chunk of it be from my muscle.

Go for steady, healthy weight loss, and find fabulous, flattering dresses for the events. You're stunningly beautiful already, and very close to your goal. Find something that showcases all your curves and makes you feel like a million bucks.

To be honest, I went to my 20th high school reunion wearing a dress I wore the year before to my niece's wedding. I'd gained about 10-15 pounds since that wedding, but that made the dress fit me like a glove. I look better in it at my reunion than I did when I was a year younger and significantly thinner! What you wear and how it fits is going to make a bigger impact than any number of pounds you might drop in the next few weeks.

Decide that the weight is not the prime factor. Get in shape. Tone what you have and dress fabulously. Think about Christmas (or whatever holiday) when you were a kid. The package was often more interesting than the present. Put your effort into being the best, not the smallest, package. Exercise is good for the state of mind as well as the body. Best of luck to you.
