I've looked at several tracking tools and couldn't find one I liked. Happened upon myfitnesspal by accident and am excited to use it. Now that my daughter is a college grad and on her own (sort of), I can concentrate on myself more. I'm still young enough to look good in today's fashions and not look like a "soccer (er...softball and volleyball) mom". My daughter always tells me that she and her friends all think I look young so it's time for me to take charge. I've lost weight before but gained it back -- this time it's going for good. The only problem I'm having is that my daily 3-5 mile walk has been getting rough this week. I have RA and it's affecting my right foot/toes -- I was fine until a couple of days ago and now I have shooting pains from my last 3 toes. I have an appt. with my MD in a couple of weeks but I might have to see her earlier than planned.

I'm setting my goals at 10# increments with the eventual total being 25-30# total. I had to really buckle down and watch my food intake because my MD fussed since my last appt showed I gained 23# since January. I only weigh at the dr's office because I become really dejected when I don't see those numbers change and then revert back to bad eating habits. Needless to say, I am curious to see what the scales say on the 20th. Wish me luck!!
