I'm not losing weight as quickly as others because I'm gaining muscle. I'm gaining muscle because I do six different weight machines nightly, increase the weights each Saturday, and add in a new machine each Sunday in addition to my usual cardio work outs. I'm gaining more muscle because it is more important to me to look and feel good than it is to just be skinny.
I abused my body for a very long time. That kind of abuse isn't healed over by simply counting calories and losing weight. It heals over by regrowing the muscles that were lost over time. I suspect the same is true for many of us here.0 -
I started reading it a while ago, but couldn't really get into it..Plus, I love seafood too much to become a vegetarian. But if it works for you, congrats!0

i'm working my way through it slowly & it makes me not want to eat anything. it's great when i'm having an insatiable hunger day, but not just whenever. )0

im certainly not a vegan/vegetarian. LOL. i loveee seafood too! the book just happens to be extremely informative, is all i meant. and dana my dear, sorry to misguide you. i thought it was obvious if you gained muscle your weight wouldnt be dropping . i simply meant for those of us who didnt understand how the body breaks down food.
sorry for any misunderstandings, it was simply a suggestion.0 -
