Huh-Big Feet, Little Head.

I ordered some new shoes online-Livestrong Nike Shox-And they finally came in today. They're really cute and all, but they look so freakin' huge! Like skis!! I have a size 9 foot-Eek! But normally I don't look at my shoes and say, "Wow! Those are some big 'uns!" For some reason these look incredibly long to me. Maybe it has something to do with the Shox pokin' out the back...Who knows. But yay for new workout shoes!!
As for my head...Ya know how the Hollywood skinnies are walkin' around lookin' like bobble-head dolls? Well I have the opposite problem. My head looks too little for my body...Like it's a little pinhead sitting on this big ol' neck, shoulders, torso...I've been digitally altered.
Anyone else have crazy body hang-ups that don't necessarily deal with weight?

   NewMK - I checked out your profile pictures, and you look lovely (no reverse bobble head doll there!)
I get you on the feet thing though - I'm only 5'4", but I wear a 9 in running/hiking shoes - some times a 10, depending on the brand. I'm also doubly cursed because my feet are WIDE - like flippers  - must be why I'm a swimmer, ha.
At least I can pick things up with my feet - double jointed and all, ya know.0 -
I wear a size 8 and think my Shox make my feet look long- I never wear them with jeans, but i do LOVE them for working out and running errands.
My big hang up-my pinky toes. I call them Charlie Borwn head toes bc they're all really round. My big toe has like this fat pad on the side of it and my pinky toes are lazy lol. They kind of lay over on their side making my toes wider than my feet :grumble: I have to stay perfectly pedicured or I am not wearing sandles! lol
But on the head thing, my good friend has kind of a bobble head and she's pretty thin- not super skinny like the starlets, but she's definately not on this website- and when she takes pictures from the neck or shoulders up she looks a lot bigger than she actually is, so I'm sure she'd love your problem.0 -
MK, you're gorgeous!!
But yes, I have hangups.....saddlebags for one (my father was kind enough to point those out to me when I was 9:noway: ); I have a mommy tummy, though I've never been preggers; I have a very wide set of shoulders (not complaining!) and wide rib cage, so it makes my small chest look smaller... ; And my only distaste about having feet that wear a 9.5-10 size shoe is finding shoes that look cute when blown to that size!! (at size seven, all the shoes are super awesome....at size ten, it's like throwing Noah's Ark on each foot!)
But, I do have the features I love.....My eyes (Good ol' Irish green), my hips (I can carry ANYTHING on these babies!), and my hands (I think I was a massuse in a past life....and that's why my hubby :smooched: me.... )0 -
DDs no matter how much weight I lose :grumble: And the more I lose, the more apparent they become!:frown:0

I feel you on this one. I was a F :noway: then I had a Breast Reduction and went down to a C  then they grew back and now I'm in an F again. So, I'm hoping tat when I lose this weight I will lose some there.0 -

They grow back... tell me it isnt so... I just told my hubby last night that when I lose all my weight I want a reduction but not sure if I want to waste the money if they grow back.0 -
Hmmm, most of my hang ups are weight related.
However, I do think my eyes look beady if I'm not wearing make-up, and I dislike how my nose turns up(but I'm liking it more as my face gets thinner!).
I love my lips though. :bigsmile:0 -

I was a late grower and I was 23 when I had the surgery so I don't think I was done growing. I also have had 2 kids so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I told my hubby the same thing. If I get down to my goal weight and they are still this big I want another reduction.0 -

I have HUGE feet. I wear a 10.5...but I have little bitty toes.
I have very broad shoulders and rather long arms. I've been told that it's good to have broad shoulders, as it makes you waist look smaller- thus far I haven't seen that effect.
In jr high the rule for your skirt was that it had to be longer than your arm length when held at your side, and my arms are awkwardly long, so they almost reach my knees. I would find myself raising my shoulders trying to make it look like my skirts were long enough...but it never worked.0 -

You know what they say about big feet, doncha? Wait, you're a girl. Nevermind.
but we all know THAT's not true in every case either:laugh:
Regarding us girls...wow are we ever hard on ourselves!!:ohwell: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: But I think we all have bits and pieces of us that we wish might be different but if we ask another women or even a guy, they'd say....what? Like Livi...your nose is what gives you character....you're so adorable....don't you be 'pickin' on your nose now :drinker:0 -

That is actually considered a great beauty feature and women all around the world have spent 10s of 1,000s of bucks to get that 'turn up' at the tip! it's adorable!!
And you're gorgeous, woman!0 -

I was an early bloomer. A C in high school, a DD by the end of college, beyond a DDD after a baby. Had a reduction 12/31/2007. Came out a C, possibly a D. (Wanted a B!!!) Kept losing weight, but they kept growing. Now a DD. Fearful of what will happen in the future or if I have another baby!! :noway:
(But I'd totally recommend a reduction to any woman! Best thing I ever chose to do!)0 -

 I see no reverse-bobble-head going on with you, sweetie. We all have those funny mental distortions about something. I think you look VERY well proportioned!!0 -

as the same for me. I would do it all over again. Who knows how big I would be if I didn't have the surgery.0
