:blushing: I've been asking bunches lately!

I was just wondering . . . when I add exercises on here, it subtracts the calories burned from my calories I need to eat for the day and I'm left with extra calories I need to eat.

If I burned them . . . why do I need to eat them??

I'm going to give you a sample here, so your numbers are going to look different, but this will help you.

MFP says you can have 1440 cals
You exercise and burn, say 230

That means that NOW, you can eat 1670 calories.

Why eat them>? Because MFP has already figured out how many calories you can eat to lose weight. You already have a calorie deficit figured into your allowed calories. If you don't eat your exercise calories, you will create too large a deficite and over time, your body will go into starvation mode.

Read this post for a fuller explanation of why you need to eat as many of those exercise cals that you earn:

    Enjoy!

And btw, having those exercise cals gives you some wiggle room, that means you can have things that others might choose to skip. I like real butter on my veggies. I don't go overboard, and I don't have it every single night, but if I have to gnaw on veggies night after night, it's nice to make 'em taste good!
