That's a good question. My Protein seems to be the first to go. I know protein builds muscle but as long as you don't go over too much everyday. I think that your plate is suppose to be more vegetable and less meat but didn't realize that protein seems to be in everything.0

It is hard to eat too much protein. I eat between 75-100 grams a day. The protein setting here are low so I readjusted mine according to my nutritionist's suggestion.0

there is nothing wrong with a lot of protein, except maybe some constipation0

According to MFP's suggestions I should be eating 48 grams of protein but I have been almost doubling that everyday. Thanks for the input, I just want to make sure I am not sabotaging myself.0

I don't know how much you are exceeding the recommend protein limits, but there are issues to a high-protein/low-carb diet.

Ketosis seems to be the immediate issue but can be prevented by eating at least 100 grams of carbohydrates a day.0 -
The whole too much protein has been debunked. You should probably eat 30% - 40% of your calories from protein.0

I was going over my protein limits as well according to myfitnesspal, so I searched online and found this to be a good rule of thumb when determining how much protein to eat daily. Hope this helps,..
How much protein do we need?
Our protein needs depend on our age, size, and activity level. The standard method used by nutritionists to estimate our minimum daily protein requirement is to multiply the body weight in kilograms by .8, or weight in pounds by .37. This is the number of grams of protein that should be the daily minimum. According to this method, a person weighing 150 lbs. should eat 55 grams of protein per day, a 200-pound person should get 74 grams, and a 250-pound person should eat 92 grams.0
