Reward Yourself Mini Challenge!

Now, we all know we're in this to lose weight and feel better and live healthier lives, which is a reward in itself.... But, why not reward ourselves along the way, and maybe motivate ourselves to work out on days that we don't feel like it, or to push ourselves a little longer each day.

For each half hour that you work out, reward yourself with $1.00 in a piggy bank. Don't break into the bank until the end of the six weeks, then see how much you've got to splurge on something wonderful and fun for yourself, whether it's new clothes, a mani or pedi, a massage, or whatever....

If $1.00 is too steep, adapt it how you need to (I know some of you ladies are workout machines and 2 or 3 hours is nothing to you), dropping your reward to 50 cents or 25 cents. I did this last March, and I dropped to 25 cents an hour because I was spending several hours at the gym taking classes, but then I had my hubby subsidize me and match amounts. I had enough when I was done to reward him for being a sweetheart, as well as me--I got us both a couple's massage at a local spa.

Come check in with us as often as possible to let us know how much cash you're putting in that bank!

I LOVE this idea! I rewarded myself all along the way (when I was losing those 30lbs) and they all contributed to my feeling better about myself (manicure, pedicure, teeth whitening, massages, new top, new make up, facial, etc).

I think the "self care" all contributed to my success in sticking to the plan - I didn't wait until I'd lost all the weight to look better, and feel better, I started that from day 1.

I love this idea - $1 in the jar from 30 minutes on the Wii Fit!

That is such an awesome idea and I am totally going to do it!

Why shouldn't we treat ourselves after working so hard to slim down & get in shape!

    Thanks chick :flowerforyou:

Whoo! I work out an hour every day, that'd be $14 a week and $84 for 6 weeks!!!

I'm going to have to do something like that, but a little less.

That's why it can be adapted to 50 cents if needed... Or a quarter... Or just think of the splurge you could have for 80 bucks!

Well, today I did an hour of slo-robics, so I got two bucks in my bank. How did everybody else do?
