Okay. Here's the scoop. I've never had problems building my muscles (not the huge gross kind, just bigger than I would like). I know I can get a lean figure, I just don't know which exercises I should use. I just want to feel smaller, and healthy at the same time, and I've always gained weight when I workout because of my muscles. Not that this is bad, I just want to be leaner, you know? If you guys have any advice, please, feel free to send me a message! (: Thanks!!!

try swinging around a kettelbell it burns a lot of fat and you will begin to look leaner, it will not bulk you up its just a excellent fat burner for the body
you can get videos and the bell from any target, walmart or models really any sporting goods store will sell them.
hope this helps.0 -
I will send this in a message as well since you may not be back to check the post, but - I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend the book "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" by Lou Schuler.
Awesome book - easy read, informative, effective, get-you-great-results work-outs. I can't say enough. Don't believe me, check out the reviews on Amazon if you want to know more.
Don't forget to lift heavy. I have yet to develop "big muscles" lifting as much as I can muster.0 -
Turbo Fire! I also gain muscle bulk easily for a woman. The combo of the cardio and resistance band strength training has been great for me. I feel like I'm getting really lean, not bulking up (although the only time I've really bulked up was when I was lifting heavy, doing little cardio, and eating whatever I wanted).0

I'd say more reps lower weight, but you should be able to just stay at lower weight in general and maintain mass rather than gain0

if you want to build lean muscle with low bulk, work with a lighter set of weights for longer rep periods. to build bulky muscle, you have to use heavier weights and shorter intense rep periods I know because I actually used to do some body building Lol also, it may sound strange, but by sure to STRETCH really well after working out because that helps keep the muscles lean.0
