So after weeks of thinking about doing the C25k program, I have finally committed to doing it starting tomorrow!! So if you want to join me on my journey, please feel free to add me. Maybe we can help each other and motivate one and another.

    Good Luck!!

I just looked into it today and will be doing it here soon, but I've just always been a HORRIBLE runner and want to build myself up a bit more :P
  • I did this once before with my PE class my freshman year and I loved it! I'm going to do it again :) Good Luck!!

I want to! I used to do cross country in high school and I am wanting to run a 5k again, I could do it now but it would definitely be way too hard. I am going out of town in a week though so I am worried that I may not be doing it 100 percent (i am going to visit my family and its hard to workout consistently while I am in my hometown) but I will be starting it soon!

I started it yesterday. I would be happy to go through it "with" you! First day honestly was not nearly as awful as I was expecting either!!! The APP for it really helps if you have that! It gives you alerts when to walk/run and will play your music in between. It is worth the $2 for it! Let me know how your first day goes!

I'll be doing day 3 of week 1 tonight, I only got the free app but I run with my boyfriend so don't listen to music, it is a great app though, really helpful. Good luck with it! And feel free to add me as I always post updates when I've completed a day etc. Im not looking forward to stepping it up a notch but I'm sure it can be done :)

Dee, you can make it what you want! if you feel like walking than go for it! I am not sure if there are apps out there for walking but i am sure you can modify it to suit your needs.

I'm starting today [again]. I had to stop due to shin splints because I over did this apparently. It's a great program and if you run with any type of mp3 player/ipod etc, you can download the podcast and it tells you when to run and when to walk. :)

I start week 3 today and I also have a really supportive MFP group (see the link in my signature). You are more than welcome to join us.
You will be amazed at what you will be able to do each week.

    Good luck to you!

Day 1 is officially done! I am surprised yet satisfied...I didn't quit!! I know 25 mins of exercise doesn't seem like a lot to most people but to this gal, it has been FOREVER since I have done a sweat inducing workout. Not to mention, I have recently moved to CO and the air is much thinner than I remember  . I hope everyone else success in their first day!!

W1D3...not so good!! Ok, so I have started doing the C25K this week (just like all of you) I have been alternating my C25K days and also walking 2 miles with my 4 yr old son riding his bike. Well I figured instead of running on the tredmill all the time, I would try to do at least one run outside. Today was that day. I figured I could take my son with me because half of the time I am telling him to slow down or have to do a quick short jog to him..well it worked for about 20 mins into the workout. He got tired and wanted to get off his bike and walk! I literally had 1 run, 1 walk and 1 run left..what's that 5 1/2 mins? I even had to push his bike the rest of the way home because he refused to get back on it, he was so tired!! (My son is NEVER tired, he will play tag for hours if I could keep up with him!!) I guess I will just have to count this as one of my walk days and do my D3 run tomorrow. I have learned my lesson that's for sure!! Best of luck to you all in your weeks!!

Awesome! I started mine today, and I'd love to have some C25K friends for mutual support, if anyone would like to add me :flowerforyou:
