Why is this happening? Will I one day just lose it all randomly? I am sad.
"I've been working my butt off." <-- That's what it said.

yes. every 3 weeks or so i plateau. you have to keep eating right, keep exercising and push through this. Eventually your body will catch up and youll wake up one morning with a loss. Whatever you do, do not stop!!! It took my a little over 3 week to break my last plateau. This is normal!

Exactly what she said. If you're doing everything right, then just keep doing it, eventually it will catch up to you. It is annoying I know but that's just a test from the scale to see how determined you are on this.!!!

    Keep it up!

Thirded! Keep at it and the weight loss will suddenly start again. You might want to open your diary so we can give better advice on what you might be able to improve.

Have you been overly hungry? Maybe you need to up your food intake and feed the muscles! I switch things up just a bit when I tend to stay stagnant for a few days. I either lower my exercise or up my food. Not a ton but just enough. If I am burning 1200 calories/day I will drop it to 700 or 800/day for a few days. if I am eating 1200 calories I will add 100-200 calories. Those little changes will not sabotage your hard work/diet and it might just kick your body back into losing!

In 5 months I have never had a plateau that has lasted more than a couple of days.
Good luck and friend me if you would like!

Try something different for a while, maybe a different excercise routine or raise/lower your calories, have a "treat day"

Is also that TOM? are you drinking enough water? All of those things will affect your weight loss.

Also try taking your measurements.. while the scale may not be moving, the inches may be coming off.. at least thats what I always have to remember.

Have you kept a record of your measurements and checked them. I find when I plateau my body still loses inches (especially if keeping up the exercise). I always put it down as body is catching up with the weight already loss.

If you exercise have you changed what you do - If not look at that. Even little things like stretching changing them from passive to active stretching will help as your body gets used to what exercise you've been doing.

    Hope this helps

  • I weigh in on a Friday - this week I'd not lost anything. I weighed again on saturday (I try not to do this but often fail!) and I'd lost 1.6lbs.....as others have said - stick with it - you'll see the scale move before long :flowerforyou:

Same thing happened to me for 3 weeks, I still don't know why. I think maybe your body just has to self-adjust now and then. After three weeks, I finally dropped 2 and then another 2 the next week, so don't lose hope!

you're not eating enough! i know you said you don't get hungry but keeping your metabolism up by eating 5-6 small meals a day will be helpful!
