26 Days

Hi All,

I've been using MFP for a while, but the last 2-3 weeks have been hellish in my personal life, which has meant any eating plans have gone right out the window!

But, today I'm marking as the day I got "Back on the Wagon". So, I'm setting myself a challenge.

In 26 days, I go on holiday. Not anywhere fancy (it'll probably be too cold to wear a bikini!) but I'm using that as an end point for my short-term goal. I am resolving that in the next 26 days I will:

-Track everything, every day
-Exercise everyday, for at least 30 minutes
-Lose at least 5lbs

Anyone's free to join in too, but I was posting more because I'd just appreciate some words of encouragement if you've any to spare! :)

Thanks
xo

I hate it when my personal life interferes with what I'm doing for "me"! I know how hard it is to keep the outside world 'outside' where it belongs. I try to remember that 'I am important!' just as you are. Sometimes we need to remember to keep the focus on ourselves and just let life happen. You won't be perfect in your new weighloss lifestyle, but you'll do the best that you can. Tomorrow is another day and YOU ARE IMPORTANT :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks everyone!

And you're right vsyates - I'm trying to keep it "outside" from now on. I'm not ignoring it, but just trying to keep it in perspective.

  • Good luck Katy!

I am a very bad friend, as I don't make the time to respond to individual posts, but I'm with you in spirit!!!

Way to go - I know it's hard to get back to the program when you feel like you've let yourself down. But each day you stay off the program makes it so much harder to get back, so kudos to you for making the decision to improve yourself!!!! Your tagline at the bottom says it all - "There is *no* alternative to continuing to try."

Feel free to add me - I'm happy to encourage anyone who'll have me!
  • Thanks again guys. I do love the Community Forums - all the motivation I need right here! :D
