How much did you lose in the 1st 2 months?

Just curious how everyone did their first 2 months using MFP? I will be hitting 2 moonths on July 16th, this Saturday. I lost 15.5lbs the first month and only 5.1 lbs this months. I'm hit my mini goal of 20lbs but was hoping for a better 2nd month. I plateaued for a few weeks and ended up increasing my calories and lost a few after that. And words of advice and encouragement since I still would like to lose another 30 lbs?

I lost about 20lbs in the first 2 months. I only lost 15 lbs in the next 4 months.0

I lost 12.6 the first month
7.4 the second
then it went to about 6 lbs a month after that. You first month is your best...6 lbs a month is still quite a lot. I would not want to lose more than that per month.
Hang in there and it will come off. At 4 months I had lost 34lbs. Still have about 30 more to go.0 -
So it looks like all 3 of us lost about 20lbs in the first 2 months. Thanks, feel a little better...0

I lost a little more than the site shows, but it's because i hadn't logged everything in. In the first 2 months I actually lost 22 lbs. 3 and a half months out I've lost 33. Ive hit a plateau, but I think its more so that Ive been pretty sick for the last few weeks. I think now that Im starting to feel better again things will start moving again. The best advice I can give you is if you have this app on your phone as well, is to use it when you are out, and to be honest with what you eat and drink. Good Luck!0

ur doing great healthy weight loss is up to 2 lbs a week so 2 mo is apx 8 weeks so about 16 lbs but of course everyones body is different therefore you've exceeded that but not too drastically so thats awesome! i started on 4/25/11 ive lost 15 lbs so far (have taken a couple weeks off from excercising and eating healthy.. :-( ) but im back on track now hoping to finish out july strong. good luck on your journey! keep up the good work!0

I lost 12 my first month, then 10, then 6 the next, and now I'm 4 pounds for July so far. I think it all depends on how much you have to lose to begin with. It's the water weight you're dropping at first. For me, the first 20 pounds was pretty easy, as most of it was based on calories and food. The rest has been more about incorporating exercise into my life along with eating better and watching my calorie intake.
Drink lots of water, get lots of fiber, keep the sodium low, stay away from the processed foods (lots of sodium in those). Don't beat yourself up if you stall now and then, and remember the weight is never going to come off as fast as you'd like it to come off!0 -
I've been exercising everyday for the past 2 1/2 months. The first month, I wasn't keeping track of anything though. Then I started using this and it's helped. With MFP, I've lost weight in inches but only lost about 3 lbs.
I posted a sort of similar post yesterday dealing with platues. One of the responses that I got included a link to a page with a ton of information that really helped. Here is the link.

I really suggest that you use this. I didn't even realize I had been in a platue and it gave me a lot of really helpful information. I didn't realize how bad it was not to give your body one break day a week and I hadn't been consuming enough net calories. I made yesterday my first rest day as well as bumped up the calorie intake. It has already made a difference. You just have to switch things up every so often.0 -
Thanks for all the good advice! I did change up my food and calorie intake over the 4th of july and finally dropped 2 pounds last week. I also know I need to up the exercising. I am going to start 30DS again today. I started it last month and did 4 days and got sidetracked with kids activities but plan on focusing again.0

21 lbs in the 1st 2 months....
20 lbs in the following 4 months thereafter...
Edited to say -
The previous month I only lost 4.4 lbs - which is ok... 1 pound a week is good
This month it's looking like it's going to be a little over 5 pounds
I'm happy wiht the rate of loss, as my eating isn't so clean.....0
