Happy cold front folks. I think it hit everyone. Well, maybe not BFB, don't know where she's been lately.

Yesterday I made it to weights, though I was feeling lazy before I left. It's turned into a 50 minute class rather than an hour class. I guess people were complaining that the hour classes ran into each other - so my class gets 10 minutes easier! I don't like that. I was told that even the spin classes have lost 10 minutes, even though there isn't another class afterward! That's my gripe for the day. Also walked and went to yoga.

Today, I think I'll go to the gym for the elliptical and fill out the survey form I saw on the front desk.

CP - my husband said that someone has hit the EPO at every place he's worked at. The CIO of his last employer said "he thought it was to open the door". (husband was reading over my shoulder last night)

MM - I've been craving cookies for a few days. I might go get some tomorrow. Dang cookie lounge place - the place where you pick your dough and cookie crush ins and they bake it right then.

Happy workouts!

Mary

We need one of those places here, but I'm sure we wouldn't be able too because the old men on the board don't eat cookies. Long story.:noway:

That is EXACTLY what happened. Except it was a contractor, not the CIO. At least the one here has a piece of plexiglass over it, so you have to flip it up and maybe have a second or two to think, "hey, I wonder why this protective cover is here?" before palming the thing.

Which is not to say that I don't find myself thinking about it when I walk by.

Not sure I am going to work out today. Still not feeling well. I do plan on trying to work on the house for awhile though. At least that's something. And of course I will probably finish off those cookies. :tongue:I thought about them first thing this morning. I hate feeling so yucky. I just feel gross.
I do have some good news though! We're getting new siding on the house! I just found out about 20 minutes before they showed up! We rent and apparently this is pretty expensive to do, about $5K! Yikes! We have had 3 rats in our house in the last 6 months or so. The first one was eating our bananas in the kitchen! It was about 8-9 inches long. The second one ate through the cable in the attic a couple of months ago. The most recent one was Saturday. I smelled something but I thought it was in the backyard. Later in the day my hubby went to check the filter in the AC and there it was in a sticky bait thing! He said it was also 8-9 inches and really fat! My son opens that door sometimes! I was thinking what if he got in there and ....UGH! So I am very thankful they are here to fix the siding. It's going to take a week! Hmmm. Not sure I like that part. I usually have the blinds open. I don't like dim rooms, but I don't want them to be able to see my messy house or what I am doing! No more working out with blinds open! But I am very glad it's finally getting done!
    Today is:
more goofing off, starting to clean out the master bedroom closet, drinking water, and cleaning up the house.
I hope you all have a good day!

Oh and that cookie place sounds super! I want a snickers cookie.

Yes Mary, they are sugar vits, but half the calories of a bag of skittles! So I'll take the trade off!

Trained yesterday and switched roles today: I made her do my lifting regimen for lower body. Now she thinks I'm evil too! I've had a really bad couple of weeks with food choices, but felt motivated to eat healthy today. Don't know why, but I'll take it.

I'm dreading this approaching "colder" cold front. We have highs in the 40s through the weekend, then they drop to highs in the low 30s. I'm not ready for winter! GO AWAY! (I don't think mother nature cares what I think).

    Have a great day,
    Arianne

    Hi everyone!

Today is spin class, and I think that's it. My muscles are still VERY sore from the other day, so I think I'll just stick to cardio. (and even that is going to be tricky, as my legs are sore, too)

Still very tired again (hormonal? stress? the weather? a fibro flare up? sunspots?) so just pushing through and trying to stay dedicated to the goals. Booked my airfare for the Nov. conference in Roanoke. Regretably, could have booked quite a nice trip to the Mexican Riviera for the same cost, but that wouldn't look as good on my resume. I'm praying that my travel bursary comes through!

Oh, and all this cookie talk made me break out my wheat free peanut butter cookie recipe. I may eat them for dinner. (since they're mostly PB and egg, this is less indulgent than it sounds)

So in three words: water, vits, spinning.

As always, make sure you're taking care of yourselves, ladies!:flowerforyou:

Today is going to be a busy day of running errands. I have a lot to get done before starting up my P90x again next week, but I can't wait. I have a check-up tomorrow at the doctors and then after work I'm getting my hair cut and colored as a treat for hitting my first 10lbs gone! I have yet to figure out how I'm getting it done but I can't wait!

EEEEEEEEK!!!!! I just re-read your post. . .I hope that the repairs help this problem. I have a monstrous phobia of rodents in general. . .so I feel your pain. Those are big boys! I went into an advisor's office today and she had rubber Halloween decoration rats and I was very uncomfortable. I had to keep saying "they're not real. . ."

Um, forgot about cleaning the closet today. Played with my son instead. So much more fun!
The siding is a lighter color so far. I don't know if they are going to paint it. I hope it stays light. I don't like the dark brown we had before. But it's not my house.
The exterminator came out about a month or two ago and said there's a quarter size hole in the attic above our bedroom and that's big enough for a large rat to get in. He said mice can get in dime sized holes! So I hope this will take care of the rats. Wish it would take care of other bugs like ants, water bugs, etc.

I like rats - but only the pet ones.
We had some smaller ones in our attic a while back. We found out we had them by our cat catching one in the house! I used humane traps at first but after catching about 15 rats (some dead), I switched to bait.

V- there is a lot of great hiking in the Roanoke area. I did "dragon's tooth" many years ago. I went to the same college that songbirdsweet is currently at (Radford, about 45 minutes from Roanoke) - but that was 1/2 my life ago :noway: Might be too cold when you go for any hiking.
