So i've been doing high intensity training for some strength and cardio, but am looking for something on opposite days to take it a bit easier. Have been looking to maybe start some yoga to increase my flexibility and range of motion...

Anyone have any experiences with yoga - likes, dislikes, etc?

Thanks in advance! :flowerforyou:

Love Yoga, but don't kid yourself thinking it is easy. I broke a sweat in class on Saturday and it wasn't a "hot" yoga class.

Definitely good for strength and flexibility and most assuredly good for destressing and resetting.

I love yoga! It's less intense, but it is by no means easy! I usually feel a little bit sore the next day, but it's also very relaxing. It would be a good less intense workout to give you some balance (and I do mean both in your workout and increase your physical balance!)

Yeah, it actually is NOT easy at all, if you're doing it correctly. Yoga is great for strength, cardio, and flexibility! I do it at least once a week as part of my workout regimen. The best part of yoga for me is how I feel when I finish.

Go try it out; you'll be glad you did.
  • I exclusively do Hot yoga at CorePower (not sure if you have one around you). Very intense, and I am happy with how my body is shaping up. Plus mentally it has been a blessing!!

While doing P90X and Chalean Extreme, i thought yoga was one of the most difficult workouts. But it has a lot of great benefits.

Yoga, is excellent not only do you increase you flexibility its a stress reliever in a wonderful way. When you leave you are refreshed and clear minded. In the beginning it maybe a lil tough because not only are you increasing flexibility you are literally build strength. When I began I realize how much strength I didn't have. Just be cautious of posture it very important. Hope you try it out I like it alot.

    Good Luck!

Thanks everybody for your input... I'm going to give it a try and see how it works out. I definitely like the destressing aspect... I've got a lot of stress in my life and this would be a great way to help combat it! :)
