Something quick, easy, under 800 calories AND something that 4 and 3 year olds would eat (they won't eat Asian food for some annoying reason)....

I would do some pasta, and reserve a little bit of the cooking water. Toss in a can of diced tomatoes and some pre-made alfredo sauce cut with skim milk. Toss in any other veggies, or left over grilled chicken....
have a salad, too:)0 -
I have no idea what kids would eat.
But quick and under 800 calories: I do a fish (any white fish works) drizzled olive oil and bell peppers and spices. Tent it in tinfoil and pop it in the oven at 400 for 20 mins (for thinly sliced fish). For side dishes try quinoa for your grain and any kind of veggie. I like asparagus with lemon to go with my fish

Make Mac & Cheese and add a package of frozen broccoli to the noodles for the last 5 minutes when boiling. If needed, add some Velveeta to the cheese to help it spread further on the broccoli.
This will only work if your kidscheese

I'm making vegetarian fajitas. Simple to throw together and the kids love them.
Red, green, yellow peppers, black beans, onions and fajita mix. Throw half a cup on a whole wheat taco. Totals 223 calories and very filling.0 -
Brown some ground beef, boil some penne pasta, drain both. Mix ground beef, pasta, 1 can spaghetti sauce, and put a little grated Parmesan cheese in with it. Put the mix into a baking dish and top with Mozzarella cheese and bake for 20 minutes! So yummy and only like 460 calories! My kids love it! Make sure to use whole wheat penne pasta, lean ground beef, and low fat everything else!0

I have a 6 and 4 year old. We're pretty lucky because they'll eat about anything, however a recent favorite has been homemade quesadilla. I use whole grain toritllas, canned chicken, and lots of fajita veggies. I just heat the chicken up the microwave with taco seasoning. Throw peppers, onions, and mushrooms in a skillet on the stove and saute'. Heat the tortilla in a small pan with some low fat shredded cheese. Add the chicken and veggies and fold over. Cook until the cheese is melted and both sides are crispy. I serve them with low fat plain yogurt and salsa to keep the cals down and if they want a side dish I'll heat up a can of refried beans and serve them that with some tortilla chips. All for around 500 calories depending on what you use. I think they taste yummy. Both of the boys and my husband love them and they are super quick and easy.0

Our go-to is a light version of whole wheat pancakes! Super light, low cal, and my 3 yr old gobbles them up! Let me know if you want the recipe - I can message it to you0

I did this one w/ orange bell peppers, the diced tomatoes, onions and roasted red pepper alfredo and tyson fully cooked chicken breast strips (high salt but yummy and easy. I didn't mix in any milk though. I used the Ronzoni Smart Choice (white pasta with extra fiber, taste better than wheat).0
