The "imperial" system is so dumb. How is an ounce both a measure of weight and volume? If you are talking about the volume ounce, then 1 is 1/8th of a cup which is 0.125 cups.

This made my brain hurt, and convinced me that you are a full cup of smart :)

Ounce of milk to be exact - all I can get is 1 cup on the database and I only add a ounce to my coffee if that helps

I put it in ml, I think it's something like 100 ml to 4 oz but I could be wrong.

Edit: Just gone on here http://www.convertunits.com/from/ml/to/oz and it says 1 oz is 29.57 ml so if you say 30 ml.

    Hope that helps :-)

If I'm understanding you question..the answer is..one cup equals 8oz, so one oz, is 1/8th, so the 0.125

cups are my nemesis, a meaningless pointless and inaccurate measurement, how can you tell if something like raspberries or grapes or anything that is larger in volume that a grain of flour, is the same size and tales up the same volume, using volume as a measure of weight in such cases is madness in my opinion and must lead to innacuracies all the time

it does I use a digital scale to weigh everything, it frustrates me that we have to use volume to add our foods as appossed to weight, which is far more accurate.

You are telling me! I keep getting told because it would cost too much and be way too rediculous to overhaul and mess up pricing, recipes, traditions, and what else. I think if Europe could do it we should too just because its a lot more acurate. Thankfully there is a conversion system in place...
