i picked up some fruit and dip for a snack (10 oz.) and i'm not sure what was in the dip but it gave the whole thing 400 calories!!! and fruit is supposed to be healthy:grumble:
thats an entire day's workout for me :sad: so not worth it...
have you guys ever eaten something that you thought was healthy, looked up the nutrition facts, and then thought "Egad!!! that little thing really has that many calories?!"

Oh all the time! Although I can't think of a good example right now...but yeah I have that experience quite frequently lol0

Oh, yes! The most recent scare I had was a cop of steamed white rice was 400 calories! I found out AFTER I ate it....I was so mad! But, now I know! Welcome to MFP...By the way!!0

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!!! I did it last night! I was like, what there are how many calories in this... I glanced at the cals really quick in the store and only when I went to log in my dinner cals to MFP did I realize my mistake. Trust me, I won't make that mistake AGAIN anytime soon it cost me my low cal (but yummy) dessert!!!!!!0

The other day I had a regular sonic smoothie...they say fresh fruit and nonfat yogurt. Well, when I got home and recorded it, I swore I'd never do that again! 400 calories! I was able to adjust dinner to keep from going over for the day, but I was very surprised!0

Yup, I did the rice thing too. Too bad, because I could sit down to a 3 cup meal of rice with a hunk of butter on it and not blink!! I was shocked to find out how many calories it had, although there are varying reports of it's calorie count.0 -

I used to order a large strawberry creamslush about once a week with a whopping 620 calories, 200g of sodium, 118g carbs, and...99g of sugar! Why oh why? :sad:0
