Hi guys,
I'm looking for some low glycemic index recipes. I have PCOS and need to adhere to that kind of diet....but wish there was a site that had a bunch! Anyone know of any?

Most diabetic diets or atkins, south beach etc. are pretty much low glycemic.
Here are some links I found:

http://www.glycemicedge.com/glycemic-index-chart/
http://www.glycemicgourmet.com/low-glycemic-recipes.html

The two below are my favorite by far.... don't let the fact they are for WLS post-op scare you.
We eat primarily low carb and work hard to keep the weight off and lose it too !:)

I'm a vegetarian so these might not appeal to you (although my omnivore husband loves most of it), but my super fav. cookbook along these lines is Appetite for Reduction by Isa Moskowitz, a vegan chef recently diagnosed with PCOS: http://www.theppk.com/books/appetite-for-reduction/ and this one is also great, although some of the ingredients are harder to find: http://www.amazon.com/New-Glucose-Revolution-Vegetarian-Cookbook/dp/156924278X I think the Glucose Revolution authors also make a meaty one.
There are, happily, more and more resources out there for low-glycemic index and load. Maybe spend a little time in your local bookstore looking through their health section, get a low-GI index chart or two off of online, and experiment with new foods!
Have fun with it and enjoy ...and feel better!!0 -
I have a few of the Rick Gallop GI Diet books, which I love. They include loads of things from salads and side dishes to cakes and biscuits. I think the recipe book I got was only a few pound on amazon. He uses a really handy traffic light system too so you know which recipes to avoid at first0
