Vitamins/ supplements... Which are worth it?

Just curious: any of you take any vitamins/ supplements every day? If so, what do you take and why? Do you notice a difference from when you take it and when you don't?

I take a women's multivitamin (general), cinnamon (helps with insulin resistance from PCOS), and B-12 (husband heard it was good for metabolism and energy). I'm wondering if there is anything I should add with the new increase in exercise (C25k).

I take calcium wih d3 (gel tab) Multivite (geltab) b12, Flax seed oil (gel tab)

I take as many pills as I can in gel tab form. Your body breaks them down better then solid pills. Might as well get all of the use for the money instead of pooping them out!

I take a women's multivitamin, also the gel form, and it already contains high levels of b12 so you probably don't need both

if you eat a proper diet there should be no need for sups. especially when dieting.

i used to take a multi, but felt no different. i work in a hospital so figured it'd help fight off any illness..but it didnt do anything one way or the other. i even took the b vitamins for the energy, but again nothing.

but thats just my personal experience

For a long time I didn't take any vitamins at all, and over time I started to feel really lethargic until I was sleeping like 15 hours a day! I saw my doctor and it turned out that I had completely run out of both iron and B12. Now I have to take a B12 everyday and an iron tablet as well as a women's multi. After 12 months have passed I should be able to just take the women's multi :) I'm still pretty tired but nowhere near as bad as I used to be :)

I also take a glucosamine+msn for my weak ankles, fish oil tablets and vitamin C tablets :)

multi vitamin / d3 2000iu / b12 / sometimes fishoil i hate taking big pills so unless i find this in smaller gel form i wont take on a daily basis

with the d3's has helped immune system havent been sick past 2yrs since using and i use to catch everyone's cold that was going around in the office.

i dont see any difference w/ energy level by taking the b12 or multivit
i think i get more energy from working out

I posted about this the other day as I am also interested in the pro's & cons of vitamins/supplements. I have always been sceptical about taking these but have convinced myself they are doing me good!

I take Seleninum (thyroid health) Omega 3 fish oil (epa) Garlic & Co-enzme 10 (heart health) Zinc (immune system) and Magnesium. (cramps)

I also drink green tea and take additional cinnamon & ginger. My vitamin D comes from natural sunlight.

I have just been reading about the health benefits of flax seed oil for all round general health and will be trying this out too.

By the way I can't remember when I last had a cold so I assume the supps are doing some good.
