Understanding Cycling...

I am currently 10 pounds from my goal and have lost 10 pounds over the last 4 months (so slow!)... a typical week would look like follows:
Monday - Consume 1600 Cals - 400 Cal CARDIO Workout - Net 1200 Cals
Tuesday - Consume 1600 Cals - 400 Cal CARDIO Worout - Net 1200 Cals
Wednesday - Consume 1200 Cals - No Workout - Net 1200 Cals
Thursday - Consume 1400 Cals -200 Cal STRENGTH Workout - Net 1200 Cals
Friday - Consume 1600 Cals - 400 Cal CARDIO Workout - Net 1200 Cals
Saturday - Consume 1200 Cals - No Workout - Net 1200 Cals
Sunday - Consume 1400 Cals - 200 Cal STRENGTH Workout - Net 1200 Cals
So I understand with cycling you change up the cals per day to "surprise" your body... I went to the website and based on my weight and a 5xperweek workout it said to do the following:
Monday 1250
Tueday 1200
Wednesday 1500
Thursday 1250
Friday 1200
Saturday 1375
Sunday 1250
Questions:
Does this account for the types of workouts I am doing?
Do I do my cardio workouts on my lower cal days or high cal days?
I am all about following a plan but with my slow loss I am a bit frustrated and would like to get this last 10 off and keep it off. I had a long term goal of getting to my goal weight and that goal date is in 6 weeks... even with my hard work I have been unable to get the pound down like mfp says I will.
Thanks for your help...

Along with calorie cycling, I would think about upping your calories a bit since you are so close to your goal. That might be more of the kick-start you need to start losing again0

Oh and since no one else answered you, this is SUPPOSED to count all of your workouts, but since it's just a rough estimate it could be off.
Another thing to consider is to put your sedentary info in instead and eat your exercise calories back. In other words, you could cycle your NET calories instead of your consumed calories.
And when I cycled my calories (I cycled consumed not net) I always had my highest burn day (well tried to at least) on the day I ate the most and my lowest day was the day before my weekly weigh in (I did that on purpose lol).0 -

Thanks! It looks like you and I are about the same goal wise (start, current and goal)... so good to know what is working for you!!0

What does bump mean?0 -
to "bump" it back to the top of the thread. People also do it when they want to see the answers as well.
Feel free to add me! I only zig-zagged for a month or so. I know it works for a lot of people, but for me it only worked the first week. I'm considering trying it again if what I'm doing now stops working (my weight loss has slowed to a crawl). I've upped my calories to a .5 lb/week loss instead of one.0
