Greetings all,
Oddly enough being stationed in Iraq will hopefully let me lose weight I have put on over the years. In my early 40s and realizing the calories don't leave as easy as they used to despite a military life :noway:
Anyhow, they say a food diary is the best thing for "older" people like my self to help get rid of some weight so we shall see how this goes. Maybe I can go back lighter and stay that way. Just got here a few months to go so I have plenty of time

Greetings from Balad!
Losing some pounds should be pretty easy..unless your DFAC is as good as ours! I had to ask my family to send me lots and lots of tuna packs so that I could avoid having to go to the DFAC and be faced with pizza, cheeseburgers, icecream and cheesecake.
I lost close to 20lbs the past 3 months! It certainly does help to have nothing to do here but hit the gym. I'm nervous about gaining it all back the first week back in the states. I guess we'll see how it goes!
Good luck to you, and keep your head down!

Greetings and Thank You Both so very much!
Your Fat Dancer Here from Imperial Beach...I was Capts secretary @ North Island when the Admiral announced he would be shipping out the Marines...I've been extremely fortunate and my friends have returned in one piece so far...I pray for you all daily...one of my girlfriends was a mother of 2 young boys and barely as tall as her rifle...she volunteered straight out of the gate...the only thing she was afraid of was her Mother.
God Bless You & Keep You,

I am hoping. Spin class is keeping me busy but I haven't fropped any weight yet! DFAC isn't that good but the desserts are! Have a tuna stash here too!!!!!!!!!!
You keep your head down either Tink0 -
Thanks! I love my job but sure wish we could keep it closer to home! Ah well....all part of the uniform and most of us are OK with it.
