I bought one about a month ago and love it. However, when I do water aerobics the transmitter doesn't seem to work. I'm in a shallow pool about 5 feet or less. The information says its water proof but every time I try to use it, it won't keep track of my heart rate or cals burned. Any suggestions?

Are you using the watch underwater? If so, you're not supposed to.

I have heard something about water interrupting the wireless signal, but I don't know how true that is.

I have the FT7 and have yet to use it in a pool.

Yes.. the packaging says you can use it in the water, just dont hit any buttons. But the transmitter seems to be interrupted. Do you think the watch will still read cals burned if it's outside the pool? You are probably correct on your thought about the wireless signal. I just wanna know what I am burning in these classes.
