Kirk Franklin has some good ones!
No Looking Back by Damita Haddon is an excellent one...though not quite gospel. Good message though.
    Mary Mary!

Group One Crew is more christian hip-hop than gospel...

Out of Eden! Mandisa has some great stuff too...I second Kirk Franklin! If you like rap, DJ Maj, Lacrae, GRITS.

Wow! You switch from Fred Hammond to Lil Wayne?! LOL That's interesting in itself! Ponder that switch as you run and I bet you'll be fuel the entire time, LOL

Anyway, now that I have "judged" by your musical choices....<thinking to myself right now> I sure hope this person has a sense of humor.

Okay, Fred Hammond has an old song called Happy, its pretty crunk. I just ran across a new artist on itunes named Prosper & GPM, the Album is tittled B.A.D. It stands for Blessed and Delivered, he has some really good crunk songs too! I like it a lot.... Uh do you do...

Wait I have to put a disclaimer out...

I am a 34 year old married black man with 2 kids. I'm a minister (new minister) and I love me some Jesus. I do content in the songs more than the beat but I must say, I aint no fool and I know a crunk tune when I hear one. Also I listen to what a lot of people would term "white folk" music a lot. During my unsaved years I was a huge Tom Petty, Creed Rage against the Machine Hootie and the Blowfish, type of guy if that's any indication these days its more Side Walk Prophets, Brandon Heath, Francesca Ballistetlli, Tenth Avenue North, and so on and so on....Chris Tomlin, Audio Adrenaline, Blink...Okay okay okay I think you get the pic.

So Disclaimer done..... TobyMac has a bunch of upbeat tunes. He has one called Break Open the Sky, its a Reggae tune and I bet you like that mug! I'm no huge reggae fan but I love that song....

Is that enough? If not hit me back and I'll suggest some more. Happy Exercising! Keep God First!

p.s. for the record, even B.C. I was never a huge rap fan, I can't stomach the lies! I'm also a teacher and ball coach and I hate seeing kids believe that mess. Holla.

well tonaka, luckily for you i DO have a sense of humor. as for my musical tastes, i really just need a "beat that super bumpin" (a la california swag district, lol). and i don't think i cld have fred hammond and lil wayne in the same playlist, hahaha, just too much difference. but sometimes i'm in a real gangsta type mood and i need gangsta type beats. sometimes i'm in a gangsta type mood, but would prefer a hot gospel track to help me keep it movin. i'm looking into making my workouts a time for praise, so the appropriate soundtrack is needed :-)

btb (by the by) thanks for the disclaimer. altho i have a question... are you originally, or currently, in the DMV (DC, MD, VA area)? cuz your slang (specificially your use of "mug") makes me think you might be, lol!

    He's Alive - DeAndre Patterson
    Victory - Tye Tribbett

And there are quite a few by Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers
