Should I move from 2lb/week to 1lb? or other?

Hello MFPer's! Its been a long time since I've posted. I've lost over 60lbs PRAISE the Lord! and I thank him that I can across MFP! I am still losing consistently and have averaged over 2lbs/week. I reset my goal every time I lose.

Today, it got down to 1,590 calories a day. I feel like I've had to cut back and maybe a little more than I'm comfortable with when my goal was 1,630. So, I'm thinking about going to the 1lb/week or 1.5lb per week. If I move to the 1lb per week I will have around 2,000 calories per day. When I get to goal weight I will have to consume around 2,100 calories per day to maintain. That is over 500 calories more than my current daily caloric goal.

Have you switched? If so, why and how is it going? Any advice, tips, or encouragement?

I feel like I can hit the goal of 1590 per day and eat more if I exercise but there were a few days I felt short when it was at 1630 and think I might like the freedom to have more calories without going over my goal. I just consider this such a BIG change because I've been doing the same program for 5 months and its working.

It is best to increase calories slowly as you approach maintenance so I would suggest changing to 1.5 lbs/week for a few weeks prior to going to 1 lb/week. With the amount you have remaining to lose 1 lb/week would be a more reasonable goal, but moving to that over 3-4 weeks is a good idea so you don't increase calories by 500/day.
